Independence Lake Trail is a 1.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Granite Falls, Washington that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

I usually have a rule against repeating hikes. But we tried this trail in June, and had to turn around because we lost the trail in the snow. The lake was half frozen over, and much of the hike was scrambling across snow fields. 2 months later, it was a totally different world! I'm so glad we tried again and I could cross it off my list.
