I’m here to serve you the most delicious foods from around the world. #culinaryimmigration #ediblesnohomish #cookingschool #eatgood #snohomishcounty
El Muchacho Alegre - on Broadway in Everett I went there because they are always posting yummy looking stuff on IG and I got influenced! Food: The guacamole was good, but the chips were stale, and otherwise food was average, if pretty affordable. The menu is almost entirely seafood, which is exciting, but my shrimp were a bit overcooked. It tasted ok, but if you're a seafood restaurant, the shrimp should be delicious and juicy. Colin managed yet again to order something neither of us had ever seen, called Marispiña Rellena, which was a half pineapple filled with a variety of seafood in a creamy sauce and topped with cheese. It was a bit much for me🤣 but he happily ate it! You did get a lot of bang for your buck with that dish 🤣 I was kind of wondering if this was meant to be shared because it didn't come with any tortillas or sides or anything the way an entree would. Service: inattentive - We got everything we needed, but kind of slow, and I had to go find a server to pay our bill, while all the servers were standing around chatting behind the bar, and there weren't a lot of customers. Vibes: Fun, Spanish music, LED lights and there was a stage. The stage wasn't being used when we were there, but I did feel like maybe coming here at dinner to eat just as a restaurant was not the vibe, and maybe it's supposed to be a more of a late night vibe? I'm not sure what time they close because Google says 2AM, but Facebook says it's "closing soon" when it's 9:45. But there was quite a big bar area and with the stage I was wondering if we were too early for the party. (???) Overall, online you'll find a huge range of ratings on this place. I think the high and low ratings here are both a bit dramatic, but the average between 3-4 stars is probably correct. We probably won't rush back there because there are a lot of good Mexican places in South Everett and Lynnwood nearer to where we live, and better. There's one a lot closer to us that does the seafood thing much better (Acas las Tortas in Lynnwood) so I can't see us going back to this place. #snohomishcounty #everettwa
