Teriyaki with a twist! Meet Vivian Lee of tajoiabothell. After their beloved restaurant Teryaki Plus went out of business, the Lee family opened the Latin Asian inspired Ta Joia in 2021. The dishes are inspired by their Korean heritage and the time Vivian’s mom, Yoo-Mi Lee spent in Brazil. “Ta Joia” comes from a Brazilian phrase meaning “everything is good.” Similarly pronounced, “da joah” means almost the exact same thing in Korean.
