I was feeling especially cranky yesterday (#quarantineblues), so I decided to treat myself to @grahamsroyaltea Tea Party To-Go 🍓🥪🍰☕ (I also cut my own hair, but that's a different story 😅). You order in advance, pay over the phone and they bring it to your car. For less than $25, I got 3 savory finger sandwiches (ham and cheese pinwheels, chicken salad, cucumber), a couple of scones with cream and jam, fruit, mini sweets (2 macarons, lemon bar, caramel chocolate brownie) and a couple of tea bags to go. The banh mi burger. It’s nothing like a banh mi, but so very delicious nonetheless. * I see where they were going with the cilantro and pickled carrots, but that’s about the end of it. The beef was juicy and the bread mildly sweet. The sauce was not hoisin sauce (I think), but it was not a overpowering savory flavor. Overall, a balanced and delicious Vietnamese-inspired creation. I was feeling especially cranky yesterday (#quarantineblues), so I decided to treat myself to @grahamsroyaltea Tea Party To-Go 🍓🥪🍰☕ (I also cut my own hair, but that's a different story 😅). You order in advance, pay over the phone and they bring it to your car. For less than $25, I got 3 savory finger sandwiches (ham and cheese pinwheels, chicken salad, cucumber), a couple of scones with cream and jam, fruit, mini sweets (2 macarons, lemon bar, caramel chocolate brownie) and a couple of tea bags to go. The banh mi burger. It’s nothing like a banh mi, but so very delicious nonetheless. * I see where they were going with the cilantro and pickled carrots, but that’s about the end of it. The beef was juicy and the bread mildly sweet. The sauce was not hoisin sauce (I think), but it was not a overpowering savory flavor. Overall, a balanced and delicious Vietnamese-inspired creation.
