The. Holidays. Are. Almost. Here. So, we hope your shopping plans are already underway. As you know, the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year is Small Business Saturday — a day that is celebrated throughout the country by shopping local businesses the day after Black Friday.
In support of our local businesses and entrepreneurs, we’ve rounded up some local spots here in Bothell that are worth a visit to shop for gifts for almost everyone on your list. And, by shopping Bothell businesses while you’re here, you’re helping shop local and support our community business owners, too. Perfect for the spirit of giving and joy!
Insider tip: Sign up for our free Bothell CARES mobile pass and instantly receive discounts to your favorite Bothell shops, including Wanderlust Book Lounge, First & Main Design Market, and White Lotus.
Stop by CoCapsules when you're in town and shopping for yourself or the stylish woman in your life. The women-owned clothing boutique specializes in chic, capsule wardrobes, so its pieces are timeless. The shop also offers wonderful gift options, including scarves and purses.
First & Main Design Market is the spot to purchase vintage and artisan build furniture, custom designs for your home, and to work directly with interior designers on any project at your home or office. Small gifts like candles, coffee table books, frames and vintage glassware are also available, making for unique and stylish holiday gifts.
For that quirky McMenamins Anderson School fan in your family, swing by the Market for apparel like shirts and sweatshirts with the signature bobcat face and other McMenamin’s branded gifts. Wine, spirits and the hotel’s signature beers are also available for purchase, too.
Located on Beardslee Boulevard, Marlowe Boutique is a must-shop spot. Owner Tara stocks this stylish boutique with hats, printed tees, cozy sweaters, teddy bear jackets, boots and more. The shop keeps the floor stocked with almost daily product arrivals and ships nationwide so you can one-and-done that gift for a stylish someone on your list.
Support our local women- and minority owned businesses at Pop Shops on Main, an incubator program that annually rotates its featured shops. This holiday season, stop by the stores to pick up handmade body products from HappyBodySoaps, handcrafted jewelry from Bo'Bell Jewels, and more.
Every item in Sankara Imports was hand-crafted by an artisan in India, Nepal or Turkey and hand-selected by the store’s owners Katrina and Francesca. Jewelry, hand-woven baskets, Turkish towels and linens—each artisan has a story, and every item brings that story to Bothell, and ideally home with you or to your gift recipient to support ethical trade and artisans. Sankara also works with a variety of charities in India and Nepal and donates at least 5% of each purchase made in the store.
We love that Tsuga Fine Art & Framing is filled with art from many of the area’s artists. It’s also a community hub for art classes for children and groups, and it’s an excellent spot to work directly with their framing staff to choose a mat and frame to put the finishing touches on that special photo or piece of art that makes a personal and memorable gift.
Pick up your next favorite read at Wanderlust Book Lounge, our coziest local bookstore that's stocked with a variety of books and hosts community-driven events, including writer's workshops, classes for kids, and live music. The store is great for holiday shopping — owners Vicki and Lisa are experts in their field and able to share book recommendations at the drop of a hat!
