Genoa Cellars has spent over a decade making Sangiovese and Super Tuscan style wines in Woodinville, just down the road from Bothell. The lineup is built on Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot, all grown on Red Mountain, one of the smallest and most decorated AVAs in the country, where relentless heat, constant wind, and sandy soil force the vines to work for every drop. That struggle is exactly what gives the fruit its intensity, and it’s been the foundation of Genoa Cellars since founders Derek Berger and Scott Heinrich first started making wine together in 2004.
Step into the tasting room in Woodinville’s Warehouse District and you’ll find a laid back, unpretentious spot built for lingering, whether it’s the first stop of the day or the last. Pour after pour tells the story of Red Mountain and Columbia Valley fruit driven by Italian inspiration. No wine jargon required, just good company and honest wine.
