DeLille Cellars opened its doors to its new tri-level tasting room in the Hollywood District in the former Redhook Brewery. The warm and elegant space features private rooms, a roof deck and a library room with wines dating back to the founding of DeLille in 1992. Not only is the venue incredible, but the wines are divine. DeLille specializes in Bordeaux style wine blends and has made the Wine & Spirits’ Top 100 Wineries list for the third year in a row. If you plan on winery hopping, we recommend starting here so you can enjoy the complex and nuanced flavors of DeLille Cellars’ wines.
Maryhill Winery opened its third satellite tasting room located in Woodinville’s Historic Hollywood Schoolhouse, a beloved landmark from the early 1900s. This unique building holds so much character having been everything from a school to a dance hall to a roller-skating rink. Travel to another time and enjoy their lovely wines in the beautifully restored, historic home or among the garden and outdoor balconies. Try their small plates for cheese or seafood offerings from local partners, Central Bakery and Olympia Provisions.
Patterson Cellars offers approachable Washington State wines. Their diverse collection includes robust red blends, elegant single varietals, classic whites, lively rose sparkling wines, and dessert wines. Schedule an appointment-only private tasting experience for your choice of wine and chocolate, cheese, or charcuterie board pairings. While each option is divine, the cheese board takes the cake. Enjoy local and European cheeses accompanied by a variety of seasonal fruit, perfect for large parties. This place is a local favorite, undoubtedly for the wine, but also for the excellent vibe and service.
Novelty Hill-Januik Winery’s contemporary tasting room design is what draws visitors to the venue in the first place, but they return for the award-winning wines. Tastings are affordable, the pours are generous and the selection of wine is large. Despite its sophisticated and concrete exterior, the inside warmly delights. It’s the perfect space, with outstanding outdoor options and expansive outdoor seating. Explore their culinary options and enjoy a made-to-order pizza from fresh, local ingredients to wash down your merlot.
Columbia Winery is known for its quaint space, delicious wines, and Northwest-inspired food pairings. Its diverse menu is highly-praised – guests can enjoy treats like salmon skewers and bacon-wrapped dates while sampling different wines. The space is unpretentious, with options to sip near the fireplace inside or on the patio if the weather is nice. Columbia Winery has been recognized for producing the first Pinot Gris, Syrah and Cabernet Franc in Washington, so unwind as you sip through history.
