‘Tis the season to appreciate all that the holidays have to offer, especially in Bothell.
Whether you’re looking for a handmade wreath or hoping to get a glimpse of Lucky the Tree, we made a fun-filled itinerary for your next one-tank trip to our favorite city in the Pacific Northwest. Follow along...
Start your day in Bothell with a piping hot cup of hot chocolate from Alexa’s Cafe. And if you’ve got time, enjoy the restaurant’s outdoor seating and dine on their mouthwatering brunch.
Show everyone you’re in the holiday spirit by taking home a handmade wreath from Small River Farm. The family-owned business sells unique floral designs, including table centerpieces and bouquets, that feature the season’s best blossoms.
This year, adorn your tree with your own handcrafted ornament! Bothell’s go-to craft store, Room to Craft, is selling Holiday Ornament Kits that include an ornament, vinyl cut stickers, and trinkets to include inside.
Stop by Zulu’s Board Game Cafe and check out their impressive Harry Potter-themed display, which includes floating candles, thestrals, a cozy fireplace topped with the banners of Hogwarts houses, and their take on the infamous 9 ¾ station. And while you’re there, pick up a few board games to tide you over during the cold winter months.
Enjoy a delicious dinner at The Cottage on its heated outdoor deck, with live music soundtracking your lovely meal. The bistro hosts intimate shows with local artists throughout the month, so you're bound to discover a new favorite singer.
If live music isn't your jam, The Cottage has other events on its docket, including Ladies' Nights and Break-even Bottles, which is when they invite patrons to try rare bottles of spirits.
Round out the day by paying a visit to the star of Bothell’s holiday celebrations: Lucky the Tree. This Grand Douglas Fir has been a staple of the community since 1937, surviving two great fires in Bothell’s history. Lucky’s lights will be lit on Main Street every evening until New Year’s Day.
As the day winds down, know this: No matter how you spend your holidays, Bothell will always be there to make them merry and bright.
