Park at Bothell Landing

Full of Red Maples and Oaks, the stunning Park at Bothell Landing is the first place that comes to mind for leaf-peeping near Bothell. While you’re wandering through the park for autumnal hues be sure to stop by the Sammamish River which is spectacular when the cottonwoods turn from light green to a vibrant yellow.

North Creek Fields

Conveniently located and full of fall flora and fauna, the North Creek sports field is bursting with color and lined with Red Maples. Stroll through the park, exercise in the field, or find a bench and enjoy the fall landscape in the crisp October weather.

North Creek Forest

Visit Bothell’s North Creek Forest which encompasses 64 acres of forest, streams, and wetlands. Filled mostly with mature coniferous trees, you’ll see bursts of red and yellow through the dark greens from the Big Leaf Maples and Red-Osier Dogwoods. Ideal for wildlife watching, exploring, and listening to the sounds of trickling streams. Bonus points if you stumble across this 100-year-old farmhouse and an elm tree that is originally from the east coast but has survived in a completely different climate.

You could go on the same hike every season and it would be different and equally as beautiful every time. Cheers to fall!

Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest

For those willing to travel a bit further, visit Mt. Baker to witness fall in all its glory. Wander the foothills for big leaf maples whose leaves turn a gentle yellow-golden color. Hike a bit higher and you’ll find dark green subalpine fir trees contrasted with fiery reds and oranges from the leaves of blueberries and huckleberries.

Truly, Any hike in the Pacific Northwest during the fall will take your breath away. Check out our must-visit National Parks and lakes and waterfalls that are stunning year-round and are bound to offer up an exquisite fall display. Take some time to shut down your screen and connect with nature as you soak in Autumn’s vibrant delight.
