Special Olympics Washington is bringing the Tacoma Polar Plunge and 5K Run to Chambers Bay Park on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Thousands across the state will take a plunge into icy waters and/or run a community 5K to support more than 12,000 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This year’s goal is to raise a whopping $350,000! The event begins at 10:00 a.m. PST, and the money raised will be used for year-round programs that empower athletes through sports, health, and community.
Looking to really get your plunge on? Sign up for the Seattle Super Plunge, a 24-hour challenge where participants take the plunge every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours. With Bothell as your basecamp, you can join in the run, take the plunge, and support an incredible cause!
