She also teaches children’s art classes, and enjoys drawing mandalas and creatures and painting with acrylics in her spare time.
In our Bothell like a local series, Hannah shares her tips for where to stay, what to do and what she likes most about our city to help you plan your trip.
“How easily accessible everything is— It is so easy to navigate and fun to explore. I really miss living just outside of the Bothell downtown area; I walked to work, the grocery store, to get coffee and everything in between.”
“I would say stay at McMenamins Anderson School if you want the whole experience of dining, entertainment and hotel. Don’t miss walking across the bridge over the Sammamish River on the trail, and exploring Blyth Park. It’s a gorgeous trail area and perfect for walking any time of year. I’d definitely stop at the Bine Beer & Food for a bite to eat; they’ve got a great menu, tasty local beverages and a great atmosphere.”
“I love going to Whidbey Island with my coworker, Tami. It’s definitely our favorite getaway that’s close by. I also love exploring the cities nearby like Edmonds and Snohomish. They’re a little drive away but they have some great stores and cute downtowns.”
“Halloween and when Santa is here at Tsuga Fine Art & Gallery. There are so many kids lined up to get candy in their cute costumes at Halloween, and they come again in December to see Santa. Tsuga opens its doors during those events so that people can come in and explore our gallery, and they are both very fun nights to work.”
"Chantenee (formerly Pen Thai), Julio’s, and the Bine are probably my favorite places. Each of them is great for lunch and dinner with a variety of choices.
"I haven’t been to many wineries in our area, but Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville is on such a beautiful plot of land its worth visiting just for that!"
"I’m really into ciders. The Bine has some really good choices for that, and there are some great Seattle cider companies that are just a drive away."
"I like to go thrift shopping at local stores and take my dog to the dog park over in Blyth Park."
“My favorite thing about Fall in Bothell has to be the leaves changing on all the trees through the park. The end of September/beginning of October is a great time to walk through before the rain starts when all of the trees are turning from green to so many different colors.”
